Handling | As an aviation services providers
operating at Julius Nyerere and Kilimanjaro International Airports,
Swissport Tanzania has all the necessary facilities and skills to handle
cargo - Warehouses equipped with cold storage facilities at both
airports; Strong room for valuable cargo and diplomatic bags; Security
cage for vulnerable shipments; Handling equipment and experienced
manpower. At Dar Es Salaam, a computerized cargo handling system
"Mercury" is in place with EDI facility for information exchange with
other airlines' systems.
To ensure safety of shipments, the whole warehouse at Dar Es Salaam is
fully covered and monitored by CCTV cameras.
We offer the following services:
- Fast of handling cargo documents ready for collection by
customers, by providing reliable contacts we can send
notifications for arrival of shipments through postal, faxes and
e-mail.
- Breaking down of consolidated ULD's and inbound tallying of
cargo/mail.
- Fast delivery of shipments to customers after paying all
dues to SWISSPORT TANZANIA and CUSTOMS.
- With available information of Air waybill number, we can
track down through SITA if shipment booked for Airlines
connected with Systems Worldwide or
BA80 Cargo Handling System for British Airways.
- Our Mercury Cargo Handling System is a solution to get all
details for all shipments, which has arrived in Dar es Salaam or
in transit to other destinations.
- We offer Cargo Sales, execution of Air waybills for most of
Airlines operating into Dar es Salaam, and Kilimanjaro.
- Storage for all export cargo, palletization of cargo before
loading to the aircraft's.
